The room was cozy and well equipped, with a nice, homely feel. It was clean and spacious enough for a comfortable stay. I did have to share facilities, which isn't my favorite, but they were kept clean. So, for me, that was a plus. it felt like a nice, quaint place to rest after a long day.

missingWrote a review on Oct 05great locationtasty breakfastshoddy cleanliness
Location sits nearly on Lake Windermere, perfect for exploring the scenic area. Breakfast featured a tasty full English option that hit the spot after a long night out.
Room door didn’t shut properly, which raises a concern about safety during a fire. The bathroom layout is odd with separate areas for the toilet, bath, and shower, requiring a trek in the dark, especially at night. The three bathroom doors lacked proper locks, limiting security for personal belongings. My shower area felt cramped and had no hooks for clothes, making things a bit awkward. There were reports of cleanliness issues, such as cobwebs and stained bed sheets. An unpleasant smell lingering in the guest house. the stay came with some quirks that could use some attention.

Had an awesome group trip with friends! We visited Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside. The owner was super friendly, and the breakfast hit the spot, offering a variety of options. Just a heads up, the private bathroom was a bit dark at night, so bring a night light. Still, we loved it and would definitely recommend it to fellow travelers.

had a gr8 stay at landing cottage! colin the owner was really friendly n super helpful, gave us tips on where to go nearby. the breakfast was amazin, fresh fruit n cooked meals were delicious! the location is perfect for exploring, just a short walk to the lake n attractions. rooms were clean n comfy, felt right at home.
the parking could use a lil more light at night when reversing. also, the decor seems a bit dated but it didn't bug me much.

I had a lovely stay at Landing Cottage. The room felt cozy, and the bed was really comfortable. I enjoyed the free wifi and flat-screen TV. they made relaxing in the evening much nicer. Colin, the host, was super friendly and offered great tips about the local area. Breakfast stood out with a delicious full English and plenty of options like cereals and fresh fruit. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the lake, which I really appreciated. the parking could use a bit more space, and it was a bit tough to navigate at night. the decor felt a little dated. the experience was good, but those small details could make it better for future stays.

Beautiful property with lovely nearby walks.
The TV reception was terrible. I couldn't find the remote's settings, and it was frustrating to miss out on shows. My sister's room had better reception, which was aggravating given my stay here underwhelmed me in that aspect.

A little more parking space would be helpful.
