i had a wonderful stay at landing cottage! the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. the location is almost on the shores of lake windermere, which is perfect for exploring. breakfast was a highlight with a great selection, especially the full english that really helped after a long night out. the host was friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

I had a lovely stay, with Colin being super friendly and the breakfast providing a yummy start to my day. Being just a few steps away from the Lakes Aquarium and beautiful walks around Windermere made my weekend even more enjoyable.

The room was cozy and well equipped, with a nice, homely feel. It was clean and spacious enough for a comfortable stay. I did have to share facilities, which isn't my favorite, but they were kept clean. So, for me, that was a plus. it felt like a nice, quaint place to rest after a long day.

The bathroom layout is odd with separate areas for the toilet, bath, and shower, requiring a trek in the dark, especially at night. The three bathroom doors lacked proper locks, limiting security for personal belongings. My shower area felt cramped and had no hooks for clothes, making things a bit awkward. There were reports of cleanliness issues, such as cobwebs and stained bed sheets. An unpleasant smell lingering in the guest house. the stay came with some quirks that could use some attention.

Good hotel with free Wi-Fi, tv, and express check-in. The staff even helped me find transport on my first stay, which I greatly appreciated. I highly recommend it for a cozy escape.

Had an awesome group trip with friends! We visited Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside. The owner was super friendly, and the breakfast hit the spot, offering a variety of options. Just a heads up, the private bathroom was a bit dark at night, so bring a night light. Still, we loved it and would definitely recommend it to fellow travelers.

The TV reception was terrible. I couldn't find the remote's settings, and it was frustrating to miss out on shows. My sister's room had better reception, which was aggravating given my stay here underwhelmed me in that aspect.
